Tires for Christmas

It was supposed to be just a routine oil change and tire rotation, but from the text I received from Crista, it looked like we were going to have to buy new tires.  She texted me a picture (see header) of the tires and they were in bad shape. Thankfully, the mechanic had shown her how bad the tires were because I would have probably just told her, let's just try to make them last another month.  I am not sure if that would lean towards being a man of faith or not wanting to face reality. Shelling out $900 during the Christmas season was not what I had in mind.   I texted her back, "Merry Christmas, I hope you enjoy your present!"   Of course, with a smiley face.smiley

For a brief few moments, I was focused on the $900 that we had to pay out.  But then, I was reminded of what could have happened.  My lovely wife and children could have been driving 70 mph on the interstate and a tire could have blown.  They could have been seriously injured or even dead.   This was truly a blessing from the Lord.  Satan always tries to get us to dwell upon the negative instead of what God is doing for us.

During this Christmas season take a moment and think upon the blessings of life.  God is good and faithful.

Leave a comment and let us know what you are thankful for this year.

May God give you and your family a wonderful time together this Christmas.

ev_blogging_imageMichael and his wife Crista, are blessed to have three children (Noah, Gracie, Luke). They live in the middle TN area and attend Eagle Christian church. He counts it a honor to be involved with Eagle’s View, BYC and serving as a evangelist. They enjoy being outdoors, traveling and above all serving the Lord.
