2 Timothy 3:1-5, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
It doesn’t take much to see the handwriting on the wall as to what day and age we are living in. It is clear we are living in the last days, as all that is in Scripture concerning them is being clearly vindicated before us. The Apostle Paul warns us that these days would be very dangerous and perilous times.
They would be dangerous for a number of reasons, but one is the type of impersonations the enemy uses. The impersonations of the real Bride of Christ would be so close to the real thing it would almost deceive the elect if it were possible (Matthew 24:24). There would be people who have a form of godliness in some ways, but when it comes to living in the power of God, they would deny the Holy Spirit’s ability to move and work. Because some in the last days have only a form of godliness, they would be lovers of pleasures and the world more than for God and His Word. So they would mix their desire to be like the world with what they know is the truth and live that out in their daily lives.
These are dangerous times indeed, so be on the watch and be sober minded toward such things. Turn away from people who would influence you toward the world. Stand firm on your foundation of Truth. The Apostle told the Corinthians not to let their faith rest in man’s wisdom but in the very power of Almighty God (1 Corinthians 2:5).
The alternative to those who only have a form of godliness and deny His power are those who actually do live in the very power of God. The Bride doesn’t impersonate nor are they looking for oil. They are the ones who have the oil already in their vessels. The born again members of the Bride of Christ already have the Holy Spirit indwelling their souls. They live in the very power of God and allow the Holy Spirit to show forth the glory of God to the world. God has His Bride tested and tried and standing true to His Word. His Church is His reflection and that can only happen by their dwelling in His presence.
Genuinely ask yourself the question, are you living in the power and presence of the Lord? This is a dangerous and perilous time to be impersonating. You have to know where you stand.
Why don’t you step in and live in the power of God and live out your potential in Christ? Dwell in the power thereof.

In the old world, they used to take the gold, and the beater would beat it, beat the dross out of it. And how he knowed he had it all out, when his own reflection come into the gold. He had all the dirt out of it, and all the dross. And that's the way God does His church. He beats it with the power of the Gospel, telling them, telling them over, give them on this side, and on that side, and beating out all the world, and all the doubt, until the reflection of Jesus Christ comes back into the church, that the church can see Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever, till we can see the reflection, the church moving in the power of God, just like Jesus was here on earth. He's reflecting Himself in the church.
