Devotional – Be strong in the Lord

Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The born again Believer’s lifestyle is a constant spiritual warfare with satan and a never ending struggle between good and evil. Those who are born again and established in the present truth and the Message of the Hour have the victory. Paul is merely assuring us that we will need the Lord's armor to protect us from the few last blows the enemy will throw at each one of us.

We must realize that satan is trying to take advantage of us at all times in our spiritual walk. He can attack us through our testimony, our families, our attitudes toward others, and even can cause us to compromise on the principles in the Word. Many times we don’t even recognize his form of attack until we’ve made a mistake. That is why Paul is warning us to be strong in the Lord.

Let us keep God’s truth constantly around us. Let us remember our righteousness is in the shed blood of Jesus Christ and not in our own righteousness. When we remember this and dwell on it, God places the gift of peace in our hearts that can only come from staying in the Word for our day. So let us keep our faith in Christ, let us joy in our salvation constantly, and let us take up and use the Word of God always, that we may be able to fight the enemy each day. Let us fight, knowing that the victory has been won, and through our battles the Lord will mold and shape us into the image of Christ.

Will you stand for Christ in this day? Will you fight even when you get knocked down time and time again? Remember God stands with you, and because of that, there is no weapon the enemy has that could ever defeat you.

As you continue to walk each day, don’t live by your might alone, but be strong in the Lord and rest in the power of His might.

62-0311 – "The Greatest Battle Ever Fought"
God is training for this great battle. Matthew 24 said there, and also Daniel 12, said, "There would be a time of trouble, such as never like on the earth before." And we're living in that time, when culture, and education, and things, has smothered over the Word of God, and got into reasonings and so forth. The battle is now. Who will stand? Hallelujah! The battle is ready to go in. She's array now. Look what a great opposition we got yonder.

Thank you brother for the encouragement. We are really standing on the difficult grounds and every time we are being tempted and knocked down by these powers of darkness. We should stand and fight against the devil. There are many weapons the devil is using but we believe these to be just a few blows as he is a defeated man. Christ won the battle right back there on the cross, in the grave by his resurrection therefore no fear to those chosen children of God. May God bless you. brother Joaquim from Beira – Mozambique (Africa)

This is a wonderful tool for the saints. We need every encouragement to point souls to Christ in this dark hour.
    God bless you.
