The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (KJV, Revelation Chapter 1, Verse 1)
As most Bible readers know, the Book of Revelation is a very mysterious book to even the world of Christianity. The word in the Greek 'Revelation' means 'to reveal'. So the Book of Revelation, or the Apocalypse, is the book which reveals the Christ who was hidden in the Scriptures and reveals Him to the Elect of God in the coming (now historical) seven ages. That is the reason why only a prophet could reveal the contents of this Book because Amos said:
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (KJV, Amos Chapter 3, Verse 7)
Brother Branham said: "This is the most official Book of any Book in the Bible. This is the only Book that Christ put His seal upon. It starts off with a blessing and ends with a curse. "Blessed is he that readeth." And, "Cursed is he that takes anything out of It." It's the only Book that Christ wrote, Himself, of the whole Bible. The Ten Commandments, He wrote with His finger. That's right. Jews held on to that. And, today, it's the–the Revelation. And if Satan hates any Book in the Bible, it's the Revelation…" (Branham, W., The Revelation Of Jesus Christ, Jeffersonville, Indiana, December 4, 1960, Para 96)
Now remember the Book of Daniel is considered by theologians and scholars to be the Old Testament version of the Apocalypse, or the Book of Revelation.
Notice Daniel said: "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."
(KJV, Daniel Chapter DANIEL 12, Verse 4)
Now the question we desire to know is "do we as a body of Believers accept Revelation"? The answer is yes.
The Bible stated: "By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh." (KJV, Hebrews, Chapter 11, Verse 4)
"How did Abel know what to do in order to offer a proper sacrifice to God? By faith he received the revelation of the blood. Cain didn't get such a revelation (even though he had a commandment) so he couldn't offer the right sacrifice. It was a revelation from God that made the difference and gave Abel eternal life. Now you might take what the pastor says, or what the seminary teaches, and though it might be taught to you with eloquence, until God reveals to you that Jesus is the Christ, and that it is the blood that cleanses you, and that God is your Saviour, you will never have eternal life. It is the Spiritual revelation that does it." (Branham, W., The Exposition of the Seven Church Ages, Page 14).
Jesus told Simon Peter: "And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." (KJV, Matthew Chapter 16, Verses 17-18
