The True Church Pt 1

By Ben Norrod

Now remember this. Christ in the True Church is a continuation of the Book of Acts. But the Book of Revelation shows how that the antichrist spirit would come into the church and defile it, making it lukewarm, formal and powerless. It exposes Satan, revealing his works (attempted destruction of God's people and the discrediting of God's word) right down to the time he is cast into the lake of fire. He fights that. He cannot stand it. He knows that if the people get the TRUE REVELATION of the TRUE CHURCH and what she is, what she stands for and that SHE CAN DO THE GREATER WORKS, she will be an invincible army. If they get a true revelation of the two spirits within the framework of the Christian church, and by God's Spirit discern and withstand the antichrist spirit, Satan will be powerless before her. He will be as definitely thwarted today as when Christ withstood his every effort to gain power over Him in the desert. Yes, Satan hates revelation. But we love it. With true revelation in our lives, the gates of hell cannot prevail against us, but we will prevail over them. (Branham, W., The Exposition of the Seven Church Ages, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, Chapter 1, Page 15, Paragraph 3)

What is the 'True Church'? Is the Church a place made of brick and mortar? Is the Church a certain geographical location?

The Apostle Paul said it this way: For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (KJV, Ephesians, Chapter 5, Verses 23-25).

According to this Sainted Apostle, the True Church is a certain body of people designed to function as a husband and wife. Therefore, the True Church must match the Character of the Lord Jesus. This is why Christ will never be married to a denomination. The organized spirit of this last days denies the infallibility of the Word of God with signs, gifts, and miracles working amongst the Body of Christ. This one admonition from Paul gives us more insight on what and who the True Church is than anything else. If one looks into the Book of Acts of the Apostles, one can see it was not the 'Acts' of the Apostles, but rather the 'Acts' of the Holy Spirit within these Disciples of Christ; thus, the True Church can never vary from this standard. The real question before all of us though is this, 'how do I get into this True Church. Well, first off, you have to be predestinated by God to be in this True Church.

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus: Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; (KJV, Ephesians, Chapter 1, Verses 1-5).

The second requirement is you have to be Baptized with the Holy Ghost into this mystical (not mythical now), but mystical Body of Christ. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (KJV, I Corinthians, Chapter 12, Verses 12-13)

Again Jesus said: There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. (KJV, John, Chapter 3, Verses 1-7)
