Happy Happenings

By Frank Prater

It doesn't take much effort to insure something happy will happen to you today. This morning at 5:30 am, I  helped our grandson Josiah with a home work assignment. After we completed the assignment, I remained in my office reading the news.  A few minutes after he left the room, he returned with a fresh cup of coffee for me. Better than the cup of coffee was the smile on his face. His actions, and the smile said thank you grandpa for helping. Those actions spoke louder than any words could have. Our other grandson, Isaac, also was a special blessing this morning as he took a little more time to bid us goodbye, and to express his love, as he was leaving for school. Last evening at church, I was told how happy the children of a family in the church were when they were told we would be picking them up for church. Yes friends,  there are still some happy moments for us. It only takes a little effort to create an environment where good things can, and will take place.

Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.  MATTHEW 7:12
