About two weeks ago, on Tuesday evening was Gracie's kindergarten graduation. We are so proud of her and the young lady that she is becoming. She has such a sweet disposition with a tender heart and loves the Lord.
She will be part of the class of 2025. It is hard for me to fathom the year 2025. As a teenager, I had assumed that the Lord would come back before I was married. Sin was rapidly increasing and we could not see how time could last much longer. I went to a public high school in the 90's and I remember hearing that the principal was going to postpone prom because two girls planned to go as a couple. Twenty years later, the world is even more unsettled with chaos. Today, the school would be sued and the principal would be painted as a discriminating bigot. What will it be like in the year 2025? As Crista and I watch our children growing up in an unsettled world, we receive comfort from the same One who gave our parents comfort when they were raising us. As parents, Crista and I are doing what God has called us to do, and that is to create a godly atmosphere for our children to grow in. We are careful in the type of music (even some of the so called Christian) and videos they watch. We like to know their friends and the parents of their friends. We sacrifice to send them to a excellent Christian school and make sure they are always at church every time the doors are open. I am not trying to paint a picture that we have it all together. I will be the first to admit, that we do not have it all together and we fall so short. Even if we were perfect parents (we are far from it) and did everything right, it would still fall short of what each of our children need. If time stands, I cannot imagine the type of world this will be in 2024, when Gracie will turn 18. By God's grace, Crista and I will have done our best to raise her and her brother's within the right atmosphere. But only Christ can give her, Noah and Luke the gift that will determine their eternal destination. The gift that will provide them peace in a unsettled world. The gift that will transform their life and that is the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;
And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. Mark 1:6 – 8
Michael and his wife Crista, are blessed to have three beautiful children (Noah, Gracie, Luke). They live in the middle TN area and attend Eagle Christian church. He counts it a honor to be involved with Eagle’s View, BYC and serving as a evangelist. They enjoy being outdoors, traveling and above all serving the Lord.
