It was close to 11:00 pm and I was getting ready to call it a day. I had started getting ready for bed, when I heard Crista running up the stairs. From the sound of her footsteps, I knew my full attention would be required. "Michael, there is a mouse downstairs!" She convinced me that it needed to be looked at immediately. So, I quickly ran downstairs and began to chase the little critter with a bucket. He dived underneath the fireplace. He won. There was nothing more I could do. I set some traps and went back upstairs to finish getting ready to go to bed. Crista was not happy with the thought of a mouse running loose. Again, I heard Crista calling my name. This time I went down with a mop. No more "Mr. Nice Guy", I was now out to kill. This little nuisance was keeping me from going to bed. I went chasing the poor little mouse. I would take a swipe at him and he would run the other way. Finally after tearing the mop to pieces, I cornered him. I hated to kill him but there was no way I could take him out alive. It was obvious that he found his way into the house through one of the boxes that we had brought in while moving.
We must watch what we bring into our house. It might look innocent, but like a mouse, once satan gets into our home it can be difficult to get him out.
Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. II CORINTHIANS 2:11
Michael and his wife Crista, are blessed to have three beautiful children (Noah, Gracie, Luke). They live in the middle TN area and attend Eagle Christian church. He counts it a honor to be involved with Eagle’s View, BYC and serving as a evangelist. They enjoy being outdoors, traveling and above all serving the Lord.
