If death was knocking at your door

By Michael Tidwell

If you only had three months to live, how would you live your life differently?  Would you dismiss the grudges that you hold?  Would you need to make situations right?  Would you spend more time with those you love? Would you be more bold about sharing the gospel of Christ?  It is so easy to forget that  we are only passing through.  I often have to remind myself of what is really important in life.      I have known of several people who was given a death sentence and I have observed how they changed.   I know of one man who could be very hard nose to become so tender as death began to knock on his door.  Death has a way of bringing the important things to the forefront.       As believers of Christ, we should not wait until death knocks at our door to live life the way it should be lived, but we should live our life  as if today would be our last.

God, let me preach like I’ve never before. Let me preach to dying men, as a dying man, myself. Let me preach to people like I’d never have another sermon to preach. Let me persuade them to come to the altar with streaming faces with tears; go back home and live like Christians.
