The Bible says Jesus would be “A man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief” (KJV, Isaiah Chapter 53, Verse 3).
Grieving is God’s provided way for the human spirit to heal. I would liken this to how the body heals after a cut. The pain is evidence of the cut, but also a sign the body recognizes the cut and begins to heal the wound. Pain is an alert system, a God-given awareness of loss. Think of grief in this way, when we suffer loss everyone grieves differently; however, our grief is alerting us to a cut within our human spirit. The only wonderful part about pain is in this next statement: “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (KJV, Hebrews Chapter 4, Verse 15).
“Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold how he loved him! And some of them said, Could not this man, which opened the eyes of the blind, have caused that even this man should not have died? Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it” (KJV, John Chapter 11, Verses 35-38).
Death speaks of the only truth irrefutable from the very fall in the Garden of Eden. God said, “For in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die” (KJV, Genesis Chapter 2, Verse17).
Brother Branham said this: “For instance, like this. If a big serpent was here, or a great big something that had me by the side with his paw, and was hurting me with his paw. Now, it’s not necessary for me to have to cut the animal’s paw off. But if something hits him in the head and kills his head, that kills him all over….” (Branham, W., The Manifestation of the Spirit, July 17, 1951, Toledo, Ohio, Paragraph 16) There is a provided way for us! Notice this next Scripture. “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death” (KJV, Revelation Chapter 1, Verse 18).
There is a key that opens to the door to death! Jesus has the key that unlocks the mystery behind death. There is no definite secret to grief. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to hurt. It’s okay to grieve. Jesus knows the pain we bear. As Christians, we must believe all things are according to the Will of God and accept God’s sovereignty in our lives. Even in death and loss, we must learn to follow His Wisdom. Jesus will help us through every pain, grief, sorrow, and pang of loss. He promised us He would never leave us.
Thanks be to God who gives us the Victory!
